From yesterday evening, Youtube couldn’t be visted on and off in most of China. Before, this matter has appeared once, I’m not sure if this is related with NPC & CPPCC, but I’m sure that Youtube is banned by GFW, which is the greatest fire wall in the world.
As the continuing web regulation activity, China’s internet enviroment is being cleaner than before, but for exchange, some good advice and valued articles are also blocked by the gov. People need a free internet, I don’t know when this can be realized. I’ll wait for that day. I wait for Youtube’s coming back.

The topic of 2009-Reshuffle and Innovation

With a greeting at FriendFeed, 2009 comes to us. Best wishes for the new year! And at the beginning of the year, we must think something about the internet winter!

Topic 1: Reshuffle

It was the the first round of reshuffle when the iInternet bubble burst in 2000. After that, Sina, Sohu, Netease came out as the winner of the round and became the main power of China internet. 2009, maybe this scene will repeat again. But I suppose the Reshuffle in 2009 will be deeper and more detailed. In each of the different professional fields the range will renew, especially at the projects which are burning money. such as video sites and sns sites. After the internet winter, few sites can be alive, while the others get dead.

Topic 1: Innovation
There will be more vigorous projects born in the internet winter. which are full of innovation. For example, the birth of Twitter is on downturn days. At that time, the cost was fewer than before. Also, the project must have more power than the others. Under these conditions, new products will have brief opportunities to emerge, who can seize this opportunity will become the winner after the winter. What waits for them is the spring after the winter.

FriendFeed now supports 8 languages with Chinese included. This a good news for china users. I check the translation, and find it very professional. This enhanced my confidence on FriendFeed.

For Chinese users, Chinese version may have more influence in China. Meanwhile, FriendFeed has supported Baidu Space. This shows Baidu is more popular aboard. And now Baidu Space is the only Chinese service supported by FriendFeed.
